The 2012 Leishan Miao New Year Festival will be held during November 23-29 in Leishan County seat.
The Miao have lots of interesting and grand festivals every year, for the Miao in Leishan area(Long skirt Miao and Short skirt Miao), the Miao new year festival is the grandest and most important festival which is usually held on the 10th lunar month.

　　　During the festival of this year, there will be some interesting ceremonies such as Lusheng(Bamboo flute) Dancing, Lusheng playing, bull fight, pig fight, etc in Upper Langde village, Xinqiao village, Nanmeng village and Xijiang village. The transportation to those villages from Leishan or Kaili is very convenient too, bus or van, even taxies are available, for the individuals or backpackers who like to stay overnight at in the villages, the home stays in Upper Langde and Xijiang are available.
